The Cambridge urology clinical trials team was initiated in 2011 with the primary goal of building up the local NIHR and commercial urology trials portfolio within the Department of Urology.
In 2014 the Cambridge Urology Translational Research and Clinical Trials (CUTRACT) office was established with the aim of consolidating the diverse research undertaken in urology in Cambridge. CUTRACT has been highly successful, bringing in over £2.0M in research funding and recruitment of over 1600 patients into a diverse range of studies.
CUTRACT has also initiated a number of investigator-led trials within the team in addition to this portfolio. To date CUTRACT has successfully led, conducted and completed 3 multi-center trials recruiting >700 patients. The CUTRACT team would be very pleased to hear from academic NIHR or commercial partners who would like to explore urological research trials in Cambridge.
